Cesar Marketing Post

 Hello, my name is Cesar Gamboa. I was born and raised in Hood River, Oregon. I was raised in a family of 5, myself being the youngest. I'm the first generation in my family to go to college. The major I'm pursuing is business administration. I've always found it interesting how the business of things works and how to successfully run a business. What prompted me to enroll in BA223 because I'm interested in knowing what gets people's attention on tv, online, etc. and how they evaluate their specific audiences and attract them. I'm a very lucky individual for where I live. There are many activities to do at all times. In the summer, I like to go on trails, especially in the Columbia Gorge because of the many waterfalls there. I like to go mountain biking and ATV riding at post canyon with family members and friends. On hot weather days, I like to go down to the Columbia River, or the way we call it "the marina," or nearby lakes. But the one thing I love most is playing basketball with my brother and friends 3 to 4 times a week in the summer.

  For my marketing blog, I chose to write about the marketing techniques used in a new horror movie that's out in theaters called "Smile." The reason why I chose to do this movie is that I've seen some new marketing techniques that I haven't seen in movies before.   The brand that I selected is Amazon. Amazon, according to Forbes list is ranked 6th in the largest publicly traded retail companies in 2022.  Amazon is an American multinational technology company that focuses on e-commerce, cloud computing, online advertising, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence.  It has been referred to as one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the world  and is one of the world's most valuable brands. I was interested in this brand because of how successful of a company they are, but also how they are still growing to this day.
